Just me, playing around. 🙂

A couple of months ago I decided to do a fun contest. I encouraged readers to send me a photo of someone reading Out of the Ruins for a chance of winning a $25 Starbucks gift card. We’re well past the deadline, so it’s time to choose a winner.

Only I can’t.

I love them ALL. There was so much creativity, so many clever locations–how was I supposed to pick? So I did what any wonderfully indecisive person would do. I chose at random. I entered each photographer once, even if they submitted multiple pics. Many entries were from friends, so I used RANDOM.org to help me choose.

The winning photographer is…

Autumn (and Anastasia) Zimmermann!

I received lots of entries (thanks, everybody!!!), and I’ve attached some of my favorites below. I hope you enjoy looking through them. What interesting places have you found to read this summer?

I’m sorry if you missed out on this contest, but remember–my other contest (in celebration of Mistaken’s Cascade Award) is still running for a few more days. You can enter here. Good luck!

Blessings!

Karen

My friends, Anastasia and Autumn, posed these wonderful pics of reading Ruins around San Francisco. First, Giants Stadium.

A group of friends on a trip to the Holy Land read Out of the Ruins in Jordan, after a visit to the ruins at Petra. So cool!
