#BookSelfie Winner
I’m also excited to announce the winner in my #BookSelfie contest which wrapped up on June 3. Thank you to everyone who submitted pictures–I had SO much fun looking through them. I couldn’t choose a favorite, so the winner was generated randomly. Kendy Pearson will receive a $25 gift card of her choice (Starbucks, Dutch Bros., Amazon, or Barnes & Noble). She snapped two pictures of Through the Shadows with her 11-year-old dachshund, Addie. I’m sure Ruby’s dachshund, Otto from Beyond the Ashes, would approve! Kendy, I’ll be contacting you by e-mail.
Summer plans?
So, what big plans do you have for the summer? My kids will be done with school later this week, so I’m looking forward to lots of time with them. They’re both teens now, so it’s less about running through the sprinklers and more about ferrying them to places so they can “hang out” with their friends. That’s okay, I love that part, too.
On the writing front, I’m diving into a new novel set at Yosemite in the late 1920s. And yes–a research trip is in the works. The only question is, will I spend more time soaking up the scenery or buried in the park’s archives? Both are equally fun for me!
